Here's a selection of US stores that sell shoes in larger sizes (which are therefore suitable) for tall women. Most of them have a selection of shoes in up to at least a (US) size 12. I'm always looking to add new stores to the list.

• ComfortFeetShop.com - have some shoes in larger sizes. They have a very useful Shoe Size Converter.
• ElevenCouture.com - The owner Jamila writes "The site offers high-end women's shoes in US sizes 10 and up. I started the site because I was frustrated with the selection of shoes in my size (11) and decided to do something about it."
• Exceptional Footprints - a new store that is based in Washington, D.C.

• Nine and Up is a new company in Chicago that offers both shoes in larger sizes and tall clothing.
• Brucettes Shoes is a Texas company with two stores in the Houston area. They come recommended by my 6'4" friend Amanda.

• Big Steps Shoes - Plus size shoes, large sizes shoes in up to women's size 16!

• Montaege Shoes - "Exquisite collection in sizes 9 1/2 to 13 (US)"
• The Leather Works - their handmade sheepskin slippers go up to size 12. As recommended by 6'0" Jena.
• Onlyslippers: Slippers for Tall Women - offer a large variety of womens slippers in a popular styles and sizes, including slippers for tall women.

• Shoes Got Sole - recommended by 6'2" Aikita who writes "They have shoes up to size 16 and they have very narrow to very wide. I would suggest, however, if you are a size 15+ to call and order. I ordered some 15's just because I was worried the 14's wouldn't fit. Even though the website said they had them, they were out. They did return my money and it only took about 7 business days for them to do it."
