Shorter men

I was happy to read that you appreciate the beauty of taller women. I am statuesque 6' tall not fat, just big. I was 5'10 at 13 years old. I am now 36 and used to be a Plus Model in NYC. However, I can honestly tell you that I am only attracted to men over 6 feet tall. I haven't dated a man shorter than me only because I prefer not to be bigger than they are. I want a man to make me feel feminine and protected, unfortunately only a guy taller than me can do that. I know women that do not feel this way, but honestly most I know agree with me. Hi, first off, I love being as tall as I am (6"0) I just wish other people didn't seem to be so intimidated by it. Secondly, the only love I have ever experienced was with a shorter man and I wish that it didn't have to end. I have since dated some guys my height or taller and they just did not work out. I totally disagree with your theory that tall women prefer short men. I think it's a case of having different friends, because I have two tall girlfriends (same heigth as me, 6ft 1) and we all prefer taller men. For me, it has nothing to do with the lack of self esteem. It's a physical thing. Just because I do stand proud and wear high heels, doesn't mean that I don't want to feel 'protected' and 'safe' once in a while. Tall women are often mistaken for being arrogant and people think that they don't need a big hug or an arm around them. A tall man can give that to me, not a short one. Besides, I do feel silly when my boyfriend is shorter no matter how.

I must admit that I wasn't going to check out your site...I actually thought it was another silly man attempt. I don't really agree with your thoughts about taller women with shorter men...I am obviously aware of my height, and to date a shorter man would only make me realize it more. Rejected by the Taller Woman of His Dreams

I have a counterproductive fascination with taller women ever since I was rejected by one I had an intense crush on, partly because she deemed me to be "too short" for her. First, she is 5'8", which is your height...but I am only 5'3"! This woman actually befriended me and always asked me to go out with her, I guess I went out with her a lot,I just never "went in"if you know what I mean. After a year and a half of constantly spending time with her, I realized I wasn't content with being "just friends" with her and confessed that I wished I could take the relationship further. She rejected me, saying that I was cute, etc...but claimed that her height advantage over me would be too much of an obstacle for her...she said she needed someone to be at least five inches taller than her!She had other reasons as well,namely my alleged lack of self confidence, the fact that I was friends with her ex boyfriend...but when I asked her point blank about the height issue, she admitted that even if it weren't for the other factors, she would never consider going out with someone as short as me. When I said that almost all women seem to have this issue, even the smaller ones, who are shorter than me seem to go out with men taller than me... she added insult to injury by by saying "well, if thats the case, why don't you focus your energies on trying to ask shorter women out, there are stil plenty of women shorter than you". I interpreted this as saying to me, "Little Man, know your place!" Apparently, its ok for her to be friends with a smaller guy, as long as I don't get the wrong idea, but the idea of me being romantic and/or sexual with her struck her as absurd, after all, I am just some non-threatening little elf to her! I still have remained friends with her, and I still have a huge obsession/crush on her even though I realize no romantic relationship will develop,

You have the right idea. At 6'1", I am a shortie compared to the other beautiful women that fill your pages. I am lucky enough to have been raised by parents who taught what is inside matters more than looks. I have lived with a man that was only 5'6" and loved him dearly. I have dated shorter men and never had a problem with their height if they presented themselves correctly. I am a full figured tall woman and even at 50 years of age, still get a tingle when a well groomed shorter man gives me that "look". Here's to a great idea for a much needed web page.

Hi I am 15 years old I am 6'1 I have been the tallest girl since kindergen I have always had to wear mens pants unless I get very lucky and find tall ladies which is not often I take after my dad i am big boned so its hard finding sizes 16 and 18s to fit i have a large upper chest and that makes it even harder to find a shirt in ladies to fix whitout it beging tight around my chest. Shoes are hard to find i wear a 14 in mens shoes and i have to try to fit into a 13 womens in order to dress up i play a lot of sports and for away games i have to dress up.
